I am very proud of what we have accomplished in China and excited about our role in contributing to Thomson Reuters success.
Thomson Reuters Beijing Office was established in 2006, and we’ve seen tremendous growth since, thanks to the talent that we’re able to attract and recruit in China. The biggest groups here work in the area of software development, designing and implementing software to support our vast network of financial databases and real-time systems, as well as product development and support.
There are also financial market research groups here supporting the data requirements from North Asian countries such as China, Japan and Korea.
My career in Thomson Reuters started in Hong Kong when it was starting up as Asia’s first software development center. Like many others in the company, I have worked in a number of different countries including Hong Kong, U.K., Singapore and China. I have also had a chance to spend a considerable amount of time with our staff in other locations around the globe including the U.S., Thailand, Australia, Japan and India.
Like China, Thomson Reuters is steeped in 150+ years of tradition and maintains a world-class brand and reputation. Thomson Reuters remains a pioneering company using innovation to bring news and information to the world and is establishing itself firmly within the community.
