Welcome

Welcome to the Thomson Reuters Poland Career Section. I am very proud of what we have accomplished in Poland and excited about our role in contributing to Thomson Reuters success. My career with Thomson Reuters started in 1995 when I joined Market Guide which was acquired by Multex and then by Thomson Reuters. Like many others in the company, I have worked in a number of different countries including the U.S., U.K. and now Poland. I have also had a chance to spend a considerable amount of time with our staff in other locations around the globe including India, Singapore and Sweden. I was born and raised in Poland and am very excited to return to the country as the Senior Site Officer.

Thomson Reuters currently has two offices in the attractive Tri-City area of Poland: one on the road that joins Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia (Grunwaldzka) and one in the heart of Gdynia itself (Slaska, the BBC Building). In total, over 450 staff members worked for Thomson Reuters in the Tri-City area in mid 2008 and this number is still growing.

The core financial data operations business accounts for approximately 60% of staff in the Tri-City area. Our operation is the primary financial data production site for all of Europe as well as the support for other regions including Latin America and the Middle East. Members of the Data Operations group use their language skills and financial knowledge to translate business results and stories into meaningful and standardized data for our clients. Employees in Data Operations have a keen focus on timeliness and accuracy elements which underpin the Thomson Reuters business ethos.

The remainder of staff in the Tri-City area work in our Development Center for Risk Management Solutions which addresses financial markets. The RM team consists of three main areas including development, quality assurance and testing, and 3rd level customer support. Our offices also house 24-hour specialist client support centre and helpdesk functions to support our customers globally. The rest of the Tri-City staff are in traditional business functions such as human resources, administration, project management and technology.

Thomson Reuters shares many of the characteristics of the Tri-City area. Like Gdansk, Thomson Reuters is steeped in 150+ years of tradition and maintains a world-class brand and reputation. Like Sopot, Thomson Reuters is a pioneering company in this up-and-coming region and is establishing itself firmly within the community. And like Gdynia, it enjoys a workforce that is business-focused, dynamic and ambitious.

These characteristics create an attractive working environment where you can develop your career with one of the financial industry’s leading institutions. We look forward to welcoming you here one day!
